Cowboy Era

Day one: Today is our first day on the cattle drive. We are going to get ready with the food, the horse and the clothes. We are planning to go only ten miles today, because the way has too many rivers, mountains and hills. And during the night we are going to sleep under the tree on the ground and cover ourselves with blankets.

Second day: In the morning we are going to eat eggs and drink coffee for breakfast and start over again walking on six miles because we are going to cross again a river. The river is long and deep, then we have to find a good way and a good river so the cow can go in it. We have to make sure the cows can be safe and keep going the right way. Suddenly, there was a lion that roared and the cows were running. We had to get the gun make noise so the cows can get scared and stop. And now its getting dark ;we have to go rest and the cows are fine now. We made fire so our food can be warm and keep us warm too.

Third day: The third day we are going climb up the mountains. We wake up and make breakfast, we drink coffee, eat bread, egg, ham, potatoes, and sausages. After breakfast, we are going to make sure the cows are okay and all together ready to climb the hills and the mountains, Then we have to find a good way so they can’t get hurt and we have to make sure there is no lion and wolf and an animal in the mountain so we cannot waste our time run and get them. It was  hard climbing on the hills and mountains, because the cow were too tired because of walking up. We have to give them a rest. Now we stop over the mountain by the pinewoods and start looking for food and hunting, we got a deer and then we make a fire to cook the deer. We sit under the pine and eat and relax for another day.

Forth day: We wake up and finish the food from yesterday for breakfast. Today we are going to walk 10 miles, because we are going down and we have to make sure the cow are not running and go the wrong way, and we have to be careful with the cows when they go down because they will run away and go in a different direction. And we have to make a four4 group so we can control the cows . The first group go in to the front so the cow can follow them, second group go to the left and the third group go to the right so the can’t go to the another direction and the last group go to the back and make sure the cows keep going. And now we are arrive down the mountain and then we have to rest.

Fifth day: Today is our last day on cattle drive and we are going to walk 12 miles, we wake up like 5am in the morning and walk. Now we are leaving and there is no river, hills or mountains and the cow are ready to go. And now we arrive, when we arrive we eat horse there and potatoes and then we sleep. 🙂

The Horses

Horses

I like horses because they help the people go through vegetation when looking for food.

                                    Basic Facts About The Animal

Horse’s habitat is in the wilderness. Horses live 25-30 years. They are found everywhere. Horses are herbivores. Horses weigh 120 to 2200 lbs.  Horses are mammals. All the horses have hoofs. A horse’s height at the shoulder is 6ft. The horse eats grass. In my country the horse lives in the bush. They have one or two babies. They can jump.
